Sir Bobby Charlton

Sir Robert "Bobby" Charlton CBE (born 11 October 1937 in Ashington, Northumberland) is a former English professional football player who won the World Cup and was named the European Footballer of the Year in 1966. He played almost all of his club football at Manchester United, where he became renowned for his attacking instincts from midfield and his ferocious long-range shot.He began to play for United's first team in 1956, and over the next two seasons gained a regular place in the team, during which time he survived the Munich air disaster of 1958. After helping United to win the Football League in 1965, he won a World Cup medal with England in 1966 and another Football League title with United the following year.

Peter Schmeichel

Peter Bolesław Schmeichel MBE (born 18 November 1963 in Gladsaxe, Denmark) is a retired Danish professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper, and was voted the "World's Best Goalkeeper" in 1992 and 1993. He is best remembered for his most successful years at English club Manchester United, whom he captained to the 1999 UEFA Champions League to complete The Treble. He was a key member of the Denmark national football team that won Euro 92.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Knight First Class, Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav (born 26 February 1973 in Kristiansund, Møre og Romsdal) is a Norwegian former footballer who spent the majority of his career playing for Manchester United, often dubbed the "Baby-faced assassin".He is the current Manchester United Reserve team manager. He played 366 times for the Red Devils and scored 126 goals during a very successful period for the club. Solskjær's defining moment in football came in injury time of the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final where he scored the winning last-minute goal against Bayern Munich, completing a remarkable comeback and winning The Treble for United.

Eric Cantona

Éric Daniel Pierre Cantona (born 24 May 1966) is a French former footballer of the late 1980s and 1990s. He ended his professional footballing career at Manchester United where he won four English Premiership titles in five years (being suspended the season without title), including two League and FA Cup "doubles". Cantona is often regarded as having played a major talismanic role in the revival of Manchester United as a footballing powerhouse and he enjoys iconic status at the club. In 2001 he was voted their player of the century, and to this day United fans refer to him as "King Eric". He is the current manager of France beach soccer team.

Roy Keane

Roy Maurice Keane (born 10 August 1971 in Mayfield, Cork) is an Irish former professional footballer and the former manager of English Premier League club Sunderland.
In a highly successful 17-year career, he played for Cobh Ramblers in the League of Ireland, Nottingham Forest and, most notably, Manchester United (both in England), before ending his career with a brief spell at Celtic in Scotland.

George Best

George Best (22 May 1946 – 25 November 2005) was a Northern Irish professional football player, best known for his years with Manchester United. He was a winger whose game combined pace, acceleration, balance, two-footedness, goalscoring and the ability to beat defenders. In 1968, his annus mirabilis, he won the European Cup with Manchester United, and was named the European Footballer of the Year. When fit, he was an automatic choice for the Northern Ireland team, but he was unable to lead them to the World Cup qualification, despite being capped 37 times and scoring nine goals

Fábio Pereira da Silva (born 9 July 1990), commonly known as Fábio or Fábio da Silva, is a Brazilian footballer playing as a left back for Manchester United. He and his twin brother, Rafael, signed for Manchester United from Fluminense in February 2007, but were unable to take part in matches until they turned 18 in July 2008.

Tomasz Kuszczak (pron. IPA: [ˈtɔmaʂ ˈkuʂtʂak], (born March 20, 1982 in Krosno Odrzańskie, Poland) is a Polish football player, who is a goalkeeper with the Premier League club Manchester United and the Poland national football team.
Kuszczak has previously played for Śląsk Wrocław in Poland, as well as for the German clubs KFC Uerdingen 05 and Hertha BSC Berlin, before moving in 2004 to England's West Bromwich Albion. During the summer of 2006 he made the switch to Manchester United after a season of starting for West Brom in the Premiership.

Park Ji-Sung (Hangul: 박지성, IPA: /pʰak ʧi sʌŋ/) (born February 25, 1981, Goheung, South Korea) is a professional South Korean footballer who plays for the English football club Manchester United, as well as the South Korea national football team. He is the first Asian player to score in the history of the UEFA Champions League, and also became the first Asian to win it on May 21, 2008, with Manchester United. He was also a part of the Korean national team who reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in 2002, where he scored on one occasion, against Portugal.

Slipknot

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa. Slipknot's current band members are Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig "M33" Jones, Shawn "Clown" Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Corey Taylor. They are recognized as one of the pioneering bands in the New Wave of American Heavy Metal.
The band formed in late 1995 and underwent several line-up changes following the independent release of their debut album, Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. in 1996. Their debut self-titled studio album, Slipknot, was released in 1999 and was followed by two further studio albums, Iowa in 2001 and Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) in 2004. They have recently released their fourth studio album, All Hope Is Gone, on August 25, 2008.

Rio Ferdinand (born 7 November 1978 in Peckham, London) is an English footballer. He plays at centre-back for Manchester United in the Premier League and at the international level for the England national football team. He has achieved 67 caps for the English national team while being selected for three FIFA World Cup squads.
He began his career with West Ham United and was then transferred to Leeds United for a record-breaking fee, 20 months after, he then joined Manchester United, breaking the same fee record in the process.

Frank Lampard

Frank James Lampard, Jr. (born 20 June 1978) is an English football player currently at Chelsea and previously with West Ham United and Swansea City.
Lampard was born in Romford, London, England. He is the son of Frank Lampard, Sr., the former England full back and two-time FA Cup winner with West Ham United. His family is related to another famous footballing family, the Redknapps. Lampard was educated at Brentwood School, a boys' independent school in Brentwood, Essex.

Hungry Heart: Wild Striker (ハングリーハート WILD STRIKER, Hangurī Hāto WILD STRIKER?) is a Japanese soccer manga and anime series, authored by Yōichi Takahashi. The manga series was serialized in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion. The anime series was produced by Nippon Animation and Animax, and premiered in Japan on Animax between September 11, 2002 and September 10, 2003, spanning a total of 52 episodes.
Animax later aired the series across its other networks worldwide, including its English-language networks in Southeast Asia and South Asia, and its other networks, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Latin America and numerous other regions. The anime series has also been broadcast, translated and dubbed in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and other languages.
German-based sportswear brand Puma were the commercial sponsors for the anime series, with many of the clothing and sportsgear sporting Puma's brand.

Yakitate !! Ja - PAN

Yakitate!! Japan (焼きたて!! ジャぱん, Yakitate!! Japan? meaning "Freshly Baked!! Ja-pan") is a manga, authored by Takashi Hashiguchi, serialised in Shogakukan's Shōnen Sunday, which has been adapted into a television anime series by Sunrise. The manga has spanned 25 tankōbon volumes, as of January, 2007, while the weekly serialization of the manga has recently ended as of January 10, 2007. The anime series, broadcast on TV Tokyo and other local stations from October 2004 to March 2006, spanned a total of 69 episodes. The series won the 2004 Shogakukan Manga Award for best shōnen manga.[1] The manga series was later licensed by VIZ Media for North American distribution.[2]

Samurai X

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story (るろうに剣心 明治剣客浪漫譚, Rurōni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan?)[1] is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki with an anime adaptation. The story is set during the early Meiji period in Japan. The English-language versions of the OVAs as well the film is released as Samurai X, although the original title was included in the DVD releases. The story is about a fictional assassin named Himura Kenshin, who was known as the formerly known as the "Hitokiri Battōsai" (斬り抜刀斎, "Hitokiri Battōsai"?). Kenshin later grieves for all the lives he has taken, and vows that he will never kill again.

Slam Dunk (スラムダンク, Suramu Danku) is a 31-volume, 24-Kanzenban manga and anime series written by Takehiko Inoue about a basketball team from Shohoku (Shohoku) High School. It was first published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan and has sold over 100 million copies in Japan alone.[citation needed] In 1995, it received the Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen and in 2007 was declared Japan's favorite manga.[1]
It was so popular that many Japanese teenagers began playing basketball after it was published.
